چکیده

Homeland Security and Interoperability: Adding OGC Interfaces to ArcIMS & SDE Track: Homeland Security Author(s): Matthew Gentile Much of what we hope to achieve in Homeland Security is predicated on the notion that spatial data can flow freely (and securely) among government entities. The flow must occur on multiple axes, horizontally across jurisdictions, as well as vertically across levels from local to federal. The data must also be consumable by a wide array of applications used by decision-makers and analysts alike. This talk will explore the meaning of interoperability within the context of web services, explain how standards-based interfaces to ArcIMS and ArcSDE can facilitate this process, and offer specific implementation strategies for achieving the flow and utilization of spatial data so essential to our Homeland Security. Automatic search of geospatial features for disaster and emergency management

Although the fast development of OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) WFS (Web Feature Service) technologies has undoubtedly improved the sharing and synchronization of feature-level geospatial information across diverse resources, literature shows that there are still apparent limitations in the current implementation of OGC WFSs. Currently, the implementation of OGC WFSs only emphasizes syntactic...

Opengis Progress toward Interoperability in Photogrammetry

The achievement of interoperability in photogrammetry is a difficult task. Today's photogrammetric services and servers tend to be tightly linked to proprietary environments, supported by heterogeneous platforms, distributed across networks not designed for shared image-related processes, and often are specific to one family of sensors. Interoperability, on the other hand, demands immediate acc...
